This is a brand new authentic Mawri Gul rug, handmade in Afghanistan. These types of rugs are very traditional rugs in Afghanistan. Similar to Aqcha rugs, they have the very well-known and oft repeated "elephant foot" design which is a signature motif of these carpets. These rugs have a very deep red colour with detailed black floral motifs. These carpets are a staple rug of Afghan families and have passed the test of time in their timeless quality and appeal. Their charm is in their simplicity, and they also have matching runners of the same design and colour.

Due to the handmade nature of these rugs, some edges may not be straight.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the colours and shades may vary slightly due to the specific angle and lighting when photos are taken. This means that the carpet you receive may look slightly different from the picture. Additionally, carpets naturally have a "light" side and a "dark" side, which is determined by the orientation of the wool pile. This is a characteristic of carpets and should be taken into consideration when choosing a carpet for your space.
