Old (1970) Handmade Turkmen Teke Rug | 245 x 121 cm

This is an authentic old Teke rug, handmade in Turkmenistan in the 1970s. These are classic and very traditional oriental rugs which many other types of Persian rugs have copied the design. It is in good condition with some minor faded areas and discoloration (pictured). The deep maroon/burgundy colour still maintains its lustre and soft pile texture. Previously owned, with some minor fading of pile in some areas. Still in very good condition.

Due to the handmade nature of these rugs, some edges may not be straight.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the colours and shades may vary slightly due to the specific angle and lighting when photos are taken. This means that the carpet you receive may look slightly different from the picture. Additionally, carpets naturally have a "light" side and a "dark" side, which is determined by the orientation of the wool pile. This is a characteristic of carpets and should be taken into consideration when choosing a carpet for your space.
